So was this the guy that Bulgaria’s own Valentina Hasan was singing about in “English” when she did that infamous viral Music Idol audition with her own, erm, unique take on Mariah Carey’s Without You.

Valentina Hasan became a media sensation in Bulgaria after her infamous appearance here on the second season of Bulgaria’s Music Idol. There were even articles in the Bulgarian media claiming a film about her life was planned. She had been living in Spain for four years prior to her historic appearance on TV and had only recently returned to Bulgaria at the time of her audition. Hasan of course didn't know English and just based her lyrics of Mariah Carey’s Without You on what they sounded like to her. Valentina did reappear at the final of Music Idol where she sang Without You with the proper English lyrics this time, but she did add in once a “tulibu dibu douchu” much to the audience’s delight. But like so many of these notoriously bad Pop Idol-show auditionees, once the season is gone, they're no longer in the public’s attention, and same story for Valentina, though the clip of her audition seems to make the rounds again every now and then. For instance. I had a Czech friend unrelatedly send me the clip a few days ago.
