Now this is very much me!
SBS Macedonian in Australia interviewed Professor Emeritus Kevin Windle, a Slavicist from the Australian National Embassy, about how the first Macedonian-English dictionary in Australia was formed. You can hear it here (introduction in Macedonian but the interview itself is in English).
Most interesting was how this dictionary purged previous ideologically inspired definitions, with the example given of how in the first Macedonian-English dictionary issued in socialist Yugoslavia, one of the definitions for 'учител ('teacher') was simply 'Tito'.
This was the dictionary that I used for my early translations from Macedonian to English, and was invaluable in providing me with accurate definitions and options for translation.
